So, how can the healthcare industry get to a true value-based care model? According to John Lynn, healthcare could change the odds by taking a page from the Las Vegas Strip. John referenced Sunny Tara, the founder of CareCognitics, who built the original rewards and loyalty program in Las Vegas: 

“He can't change the odds. He can't change the fact that you're going to lose money, right? Like that's out of his control, but what can he do? He can change the experience you have and how you feel about your care and all of that. Well, the same is true in healthcare.
